Teaching Life
Once a professor was telling his students a story.
Once upon a time, there was a big accident on a very big ship in the middle of the sea. The captain ordered the passengers to leave the ship. There was a young couple on that ship.
When it came time to board his lifeboat, he realized that there was only one person can be taken on the lifeboat.
At that moment, the man pulled his wife out of the queue and jumped into the boat.
As he was leaving, the woman standing on the sinking ship shouted a sentence to her husband.
Now the professor stopped and asked the students – “What do you think the woman said to her husband?”
Most of the students immediately shouted, “She must have said – I hate you! I hate you!” Some students said – you didn’t do it right. So the rest of the students said – you threatened me. Almost all the answers were like this.
Suddenly the professor’s attention was drawn to a student who was still very quiet and had not answered the question. The professor asked him hopefully, “Tell me, what do you think the wife said to her husband?”
The boy said – “I think the woman must have said take care of your child!”
Surprised, the professor asked the boy, “Have you heard this before?”
The boy said – “No, but this is what my sick mother told my father when he was dying.”
The professor nodded sadly – “Your answer is correct!”
The professor began to tell the story again – the ship sank and the woman died. The husband reached the shore and spent the rest of his life raising his only daughter, who was with her grandmother when the ship sank.
Many years after the man died, one day while cleaning, the girl found her father’s diary.
After reading the diary, she realized that her mother was suffering from a serious illness while travelling on the ship and that she had only a few days left in her life.
In such a difficult situation, her father made a tough decision and jumped on the lifeboat.
Her father had written in his diary – “My life is meaningless without you, I wanted to be with you in the ocean. But when I thought of my darling daughter, I had to leave you alone.”
By the time the professor finished, the whole class was speechless.
There are so many types it’s hard to say.
Therefore, without a thorough thought, the assessment of the superficial situation cannot be accurate.
The one who apologizes first after a disagreement is not necessarily at fault. It may be that he is giving more importance to maintaining the relationship.
A friend who pays a bill while partying and eating with friends does not necessarily have a pocket full of notes. For him, money may be less important than friendship. His heart can be big for his friends.
Those who help you are not doing this under the weight of your favours. They help you because they have kindness and love in their hearts.
Life today is difficult because we have stopped understanding people from the heart and we make shallow decisions about them. Only a little bit of understanding and a little bit of humanity can show us the right way.
Friends, there are times in life when you can’t choose between right and wrong. Make the right choice by thinking with your heart at that moment. Because not everything seen with the eyes and heard with the ears is true, but what the heart says is always true.
