Nought for Thought

This void is eating me up
Slowly I find Nothing
Interests me permanently
The excitement of Change
Is a high
And a low the next day

Wanting turns quickly to disgust
Salivating leads to excessive indigestion
Desire is but a passing fancy
Eating me in its half-a-second of transience

What I find fascinating
Is how do this burgeoning millions
Manage to be arrested for so long
Is this one cumulative collective blind eye?

The getting together of things and relations
Of notions and their various expansions
Of the deluded need to be known and bowed down to
Mentally and physically
Escapes me – though only sometimes

Should I just let it all go?
Or Maybe
Let it all stay as it is
